About Dr Ohmsen

Dr Ohmsen graduated University of Queensland 1979 and has been a specialist Sports Physician since 1991.

Currently, he works solely in private practice. His special interest and area of expertise is diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound. This includes teaching in Australia and also in Nepal.

Dr Ohmsen works with and is a board member of AUSNEP. This is a charitable medical organisation that provides education and musculoskeletal healthcare to Tribhuvan University Hospital in Kathmandu.

This region of medicine is a natural extension of having spent > 30 years being involved in Elite Level Sporting Teams.

  2. Team Physician at the Gold Coast Suns 2010-2015.

  3. Medical Director Gold Coast Marathon (20 years).

  4. Medical Direction World Triathlon Championships.
